The Segal Organization is the private office and philanthropic platform of Kevin Segal and his family. It exists to direct private resources toward public good with the patience of an institution and the conviction of a family.
Kevin Michael Segal
Mr. Segal is a futurist, art collector, and patron of the performing arts, with an abiding commitment to the preservation of world history. He founded The Segal Organization to put his family’s resources behind a conviction: that the coming century can be one of abundance, intelligence, and longer life — and that such gifts are only worth having if they reach everyone.

Philosophy
We give as stewards rather than spenders. That means funding what endures over what announces itself; partnering with communities rather than substituting for them; and treating culture and need as a single inheritance, owed forward. The horizon we plan for is longer than any of us — and we believe it bends toward abundance, intelligence, and longer life, if we are wise enough to build for it.
The work spans the Foundation, the Collection and its patronage, the Stage, and the Futures and History programs — different rooms of one house, held together by a single idea of keeping the current moving.

Transparency
Every program publishes its outcomes — including the ones that fall short. Honesty is the luxury we can always afford.
Funds to purpose
The Foundation directs the large majority of funds to programs, with operations and evaluation independently audited.
Local stewardship
Programs are designed, led, and ultimately owned by the communities they serve. We partner with people, not around them.
The Private Office
Correspondence on partnerships, loans, and patronage is handled quietly by the Private Office.
