Artist Patronage
Direct support for living artists.
Beyond collecting, The Segal Organization supports living artists directly — through commissions, studio fellowships, and unrestricted grants for those working at the frontier of culture. We back the difficult, the early, and the uncategorizable, on the conviction that the most important art is rarely the most obvious at first.
How we support
Commissions
We commission ambitious new work — sculpture, painting, sound, and the forms between — giving artists the time, scale, and freedom that the market rarely affords.
Fellowships
Studio fellowships offer space, stipend, and uninterrupted time. We fund the conditions for serious work, then step back from the work itself.
Unrestricted Grants
The most useful support is often the least prescriptive. Unrestricted grants trust the artist to know what their practice needs.
Featured patrons & fellows
Devon Aguilar

Artists are considered by curatorial nomination and scouting rather than open call. We hold the circle small so that our attention, and our support, can be real.
